Welcome to Solar Tuition’s terms and conditions. Please note that any reference to “you” or “your” refers to the client, while “I” or “my” refers to the tutor.

Prices: My prices are £75/hr. Payment is required in advance for at least one lesson, and most clients prefer to pay for four or more lessons at a time. Payment should be done through bank transfer. See the Pricing page for further details.

Lesson Time: Lessons will end on time as I regularly have lessons scheduled shortly after yours ends. It is essential that you have a working internet connection on your end and basic knowledge of how to use the computer and/or tablet you are using. Please note that lesson time used fixing any technical issues on your end will be charged for. To avoid any such issues, please download the desktop/iPad version of Zoom and use that, not the online version. Also, make sure you know how to share your screen.

Technical Issues: On the rare occasion that issues are on my end, you will not be charged for that time, and the lesson will be made up to you that day or as soon as possible. However, if you are having trouble logging in, please contact me ASAP using phone or WhatsApp or text. If you cannot reach me through these methods, use email as a last resort, as it may take some time to arrive.

Cancellation and Rescheduling: If you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, you must do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. Failure to do so will result in a 50% charge if done 2-24 hours before the lesson start time, and a 100% charge if within 2 hours of the lesson start time. Please note that you will receive reminders 48 hours and 4 hours before the lesson, via email. Check your jumk/spam folder to make sure you aren’t missing these. Work Outside of Lessons: Any work done outside of the lessons, such as setting or marking past papers/mock exams, will be charged at my usual rate, pro rata.

Group Tuition: I only provide 1 on 1 tuition and do not offer group tuition.

Advice and Results: I will try my absolute utmost to help you achieve your goals. However, please follow my advice as much as possible, as I really know what I am doing! Even when you do though, I cannot guarantee a minimum grade in any test, predicted grade, mock or real exam, or a successful school or university application. Some things are simply out of my control.

Age Limit: I only teach pupils who are 13 years and older.

Changes to Terms and Conditions: I reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions and will inform you of the new ones if I do.

Cancellation Policy: Please note that sessions are cancelled after 20 minutes of me waiting but charged at full price. If you are not present five minutes after the lesson start time, I will call and email you.
