Scheduling Policy

Hello! Apologises for these charges. Without them, the number of lessons rescheduled last minute, or people just not showing up grew to nearly 1 in 5 lessons.

Changes more than 24 hours in advance.

For almost every change, please use the online booking system. If you do so more than 24 hours in advance of the lesson start time, there is never a charge.

Don’t worry – it’s really simple to make changes. Just remember to always login first.

For permanent changes to your regular schedule, please get in touch via email or phone.

Changes 2 to 24 hours in advance.

If you cancel or reschedule a lesson within 2 to 24 hours of its scheduled start time, there is a 50% charge.

Please cancel the lesson in Acuity Scheduling as soon as you can to avoid the 100% charge.

There is no need to text or email – Dr. Lawson will receive your update automatically.

Less than 2 hours notice, or No-Shows

If you do not cancel a lesson in Acuity at least 2 hours before it is due to start, or No-Show, there is a 100% charge.

If you are over 20 minutes late without giving any notice, you will be classed as a No-Show, your lesson will be cancelled, but you will still be charged full price.

Going To Be Late?

Solar Tuition has a simple reminder system in place to prevent No-Shows – after 5 minutes you and your parent or guardian will receive a text message (or WhatsApp) and email. You will also have already received reminder emails 48 hours and 4 hours before the lesson. This is to help you avoid charges as much as possible.

If you are going to be late to a lesson, no problem – just get in touch. Please be informed that due to the scheduling of other lessons, yours will still end at the pre-arranged time.
